Chase Ultimate Rewards
Chase Ultimate Rewards is the points currency on Sapphire, Freedom, and most Ink cards. Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business transfer to World of Hyatt at 1:1. Sapphire Preferred and Ink Business Preferred transfer at 4:3. Ink Business Premier is cash back, and Chase's page for it does not list partner transfers.
Which cards can transfer points?
| Card | Annual fee | Welcome bonus | Currency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chase Sapphire Reserve | $795 | 100,000 points after $6,000 spend in 3 months | Chase Ultimate Rewards |
| Chase Sapphire Preferred | $95 | 75,000 points after $5,000 spend in 3 months | Chase Ultimate Rewards |
| Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business | $795 | 200,000 points after $30,000 spend in 6 months | Chase Ultimate Rewards |
| Chase Ink Business Preferred | $95 | 100,000 points after $8,000 spend in 3 months | Chase Ultimate Rewards |
Hyatt ratios are also on the Hyatt 1:1 page. After January 1, 2027, the personal Sapphire Reserve is the consumer card that keeps 1:1. Preferred and Ink Preferred stay at 4:3. The full partner list, including United, Southwest, British Airways, and Flying Blue, is the Chase section of the transfer partner directory.
Which cards earn points to pair with those?
| Card | Annual fee | Welcome bonus | Currency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chase Freedom Flex | $0 | $250 cash back after $500 spend in 3 months | Chase Ultimate Rewards |
| Chase Ink Business Cash | $0 | $750 bonus cash back after $6,000 spend in 3 months | Chase Ultimate Rewards |
| Chase Ink Business Unlimited | $0 | $750 cash back after $6,000 spend in 3 months | Chase Ultimate Rewards |
Freedom Flex, Ink Cash, and Ink Unlimited earn Ultimate Rewards. The business-card note from April 22, 2026 says to stack Ink cards with a Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve when you want the transfer partners. Freedom Flex is the no-fee personal earner, including the Q4 2026 grocery, dining, and American Red Cross categories once you activate them. Its review is here: Freedom Flex.
Ink Business Premier pays 2% or 2.5% cash back and does not belong in the transfer pile. That review is the Premier review. The business comparison is Reserve for Business vs Ink Preferred.
How did one redemption use these points?
The Maui walkthrough transferred 65,000 Ultimate Rewards to Hyatt at 1:1 for part of a five-night Andaz Maui award. That trip used the ratio Sapphire Reserve still has. A Preferred or Ink Preferred transfer of the same 65,000 points would not produce 65,000 Hyatt points at the current 4:3 ratio.
Key takeaways
- Reserve cards transfer to Hyatt at 1:1. Preferred and Ink Preferred transfer at 4:3.
- Freedom Flex, Ink Cash, and Ink Unlimited earn Ultimate Rewards. Premier does not list partner transfers.
- Move points only after the award is available. Hyatt transfers do not come back.
